    This year the New Mexico Mycological Society joins the Four Corners Mushroom Club to host a Mushroom Conference/Foray in Pagosa Springs. NMMS & 4cmc welcome and encourage members of NAMA and other NAMA-affiliated mycological organizations to join us and our Foray Mycologists Steve Trudell and Britt Bunyard.

Registry of Mushrooms in Works of Art
    NAMA is pleased to announce the Registry of Mushrooms in Works of Art. The Registry has over 1,200 entries, includes lots of sample images, and covers mushrooms in art from the early Renaissance to today.

Medicinal Mushrooms
    NAMA's website now includes a section on Medicinal Mushrooms. The introductory paragraphs include, "The greatest attribute of mushrooms, besides their taste, is their peculiar healing properties...Mushrooms contain bioactive metabolites capable of helping revitalize and modulate our immune systems."

NAMA Southwest Regional Foray Cancelled
    Due to the extensive loss of habitat from last year's fires, NAMA decided to cancel their Labor Day weekend Foray in Arizona's Chiricahua Mountains.
